BYLAWS BALLOT APPROVED!
AFFILIATES WELCOME
A bylaws ballot measure that opens participation in SCIP to non-independent
specifiers has been approved by a vote of the Members. The ballot results
were reported by SCIP Secretary Helga Brady on August 9, 2005. The bylaws
revision replaces the previous Correspondent category with a new Affiliate
category. Affiliates may be specifier employees of other firms, as defined in
the approved bylaws revisions. The new application for membership and invoice
are available through the Member Application link above. The new bylaws can be

An additional ballot measure that allows the Board to adjust dues without a
formal vote of the membership at the Annual Membership Meeting was also approved
by the members. This allows the Board to develop budgets and prospects for
outside income in a timely manner.
